Visiting Dublin

Having very few courses at university allowed me to make most of my year traveling. In November, my friend Emma and I decided to go to Dublin, Ireland for 4 days. What we decided was that Ireland was a neighbouring country to Scotland. The flights to Dublin from Glasgow were very cheap and very fast (about 40min).  If like us, you plan to spend a few days in Dublin, you can find in this article what I recommend you to see.  But before you start planning your weekend in Dublin, you need to plan how to get there!  STEP 1 : REACH DUBLIN CITY CENTER If you're flying, you certainly are with Ryanair. Whichever airline you travel with, getting from Dublin Airport to the centre of Dublin is very easy with AirLink. It stops at the main bus station before going to one of the main train stations via O'Connell Street. Visiting Edinburgh

During my Erasmus year I was lucky enough to be able to visit EDINBURGH , the capital of Scotland. Second largest city in the country (after Glasgow), the city is easy to visit in 1 day but I recommend you to spend a weekend there so you can take your time and not feel rushed.  Edinburgh is easily accessible from Glasgow . Just go to Buchanan Bus Station and take the bus to the capital. The return journey will cost £10 and you will arrive in 1 hour.  Here is what I recommend you do in Edinburgh: Edinburgh Castle It is one of the most impressive castles in Scotland. Located on an ancient volcano, it dominates the city from above. Today it's a historical museum, whose interior can be visited,  but it served as a royal residence and military base.  To save you a long wait you can buy your tickets here in advance. Often neglected in favour of the capital,  Glasgow definitely worth a visit . Glasgow is one of the most interesting European cities to see.
